Homeless for the Holidays --- Theatre Remains Dark

is not going to help house a real homeless person. It will add life to the community. One man emailed me about working at the Palace as a youth. His father had died and he helped the family with the money he earned working at the Palace. Without that job he felt his family would not have been able to maintain a home. Getting involved in the project now will help build a new future for youth in our community. We could turn the Palace into an entertainment center serving pop and popcorn as opposed to beer and whiskey.

If you are connected to Elmwood; it will assist in the town's renewal. If you have only heard of Elmwood from the news about the tornado, it will be something you can watch grow online. Possibly, drop in for a movie. I believe in helping, trying to make the world a better place. I like real things, projects approached with practical steps, projects I can see grow. Saving the Palace meets all those criteria.

So for the first Christmas in almost 100 years, nothing is happening on the Palace stage. What about the future? It is all up to you. Our miracle will occur on Main and Althea, if you take some of the practical steps.

Saturday June 5th while a movie was being shown at the Palace theater a tornado struck Elmwood. No one was injured but damage was extensive.
