Year 2016
Alex our youngest son, now 28, graduated from St Louis University Law School in May. He took the bar in July; was notified he passed in late September and inducted into the bar in November. It is long path. He is now an attorney working for the James Kelly Law firm in Peoria Heights IL. Alex was an assistant coach with Elmwood/Brimfield football. He is currently living with us, which is soon to change. Now the football season is over he will find his own place. It was easier to help coach and much easier to recoup finances after three years in school in St Louis to stay at home awhile.

Nancy and I are in our 34th year of couple-hood. Our 34th anniversary will occur this April. She works for Mosaic overseeing the Illinois and Indiana programs; I do not do much, a part time assessor job, a lot of volunteering at the church. I will be the District Lay Leader of the Spoon River District a part of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference. Taking on this job possibly just in time to stand in front of the great tsunami of a United Methodist schism. Nancy and I stay fit enough to embarrass ourselves at the gym, maintaining muscle tone and cardio health, but love food too much to achieve “heroin chic.”
There you are; I am well and apparently I am old. My mother is doing well in Smithshire she is 88. Nancy took her mother and met Diana Reynolds Brooks and her mother in Chicago. They did an architectural boat tour on a 70-degree November 1st day. Winifred is 94 and Peggy is 99.
