Please connect with your Democratic member of Congress. If you are in a Republican district, then the Democrat nearest to you. Help me bring awareness to a solution to our electoral failures by presenting this idea to them. Encourage them to use modern tools to coordinate and unify our efforts. Raise the level of awareness; do it now before you get another hyperbolical doomsday fundraising email from the DCCC.
We need to create a connected party we need to elect Democrats. I do not accuse all Republicans of being evil, but even the sensible so-called moderate ones are being complicit with Trump’s corruption, ignoring all evidence of treason, turning our Earth into a toxic wasteland, stealing from the poor and giving to the wealthy. The GOP would condemn people to life without healthcare, which soon ends life. They claim to be pro-life by undermining birth control and education, which increases abortion. The GOP aggressively denies the equal rights of citizenship to those unlike themselves. Their fiscal, more accurately their profligate, polices are destroying our economy. They promote a greed inspired corrupt crony system of capitalism. They are putting the ecosystem of the planet and the very existence of humanity at risk. It matters not if they are decent people. If they endorse policies that destroy our future, they all must go.The GOP can have a pool party in Grover Norquist’s bathtub.

I called this series the Hillbilly Secession, not that I do not know and love me some Hillbillies. Being a Lincoln man I was never partial to Secession. The great warriors of the Civil War, Grant and Sherman, did not hate the individuals they were fighting, nor did Lincoln. They all had friends in the armies and government of the Confederacy. They hated the rebellion, hated slavery and the treatment of African-Americans; Sherman less so. They knew they had to first completely defeat their foes, before there could be forgiveness. I exist and pray to be an instrument of Jesus' love to others everyday, but we need veto proof majorities in both houses of Congress. As in an actual war the people on the other side become the enemy. It doesn’t mean they are demonic people without families or cute kids or that they lack a sense of humor. Actually some are rather evil and no, none have a really good sense of humor. Republicans are too uptight.
Hillbilly is my shortcut term for the Southern Lost Cause Culture that now dominates the Republican Party, ironic isn’t it. Secession is my term to sum up Republican policies, which incorporate denial of science, facts, and rule of law. The current secession just like the one Southern states declared in 1860 and 1861 is a threat to our Union. It is an existential threat to the United States. Now, with our prominent place in the world, this secession is a threat to the future of the world. We must realize the GOP and Trump administration have declared war on us. It is a war we can win, but no war is won without a plan. The most successful generals in the civil war were U. S. Grant and Wm. Tecumseh Sherman. Each of these men understood the importance of logistics; they also came to understand only total victory would bring a lasting peace.
