I am not sure what happened in 2017, either. I did write this story. Mystery Gift
Year 2018
A quick note for Christmas cards. 2018 is moving along; we have had a good year. I am excited about the prospects for 2019, I have found my lost hat. The good karma is back.
My friends, relatives, and now acquaintances (social media contacts I don’t know) may know more about my life in 2018 than I remember. Facebook is a great medium for uniting old friends and dividing us by memes or silly requests to copy and paste. This post is of course, for those of you who do not post. People who have retained a steady hand on the keel, stayed the course, and steered themselves away from social media obsession and depression. I am one of those addicted. I have fallen in a deep well of attention deficit. I am a victim of our modern age; my wife often steals my phone. She treats me like a sullen teenager, then smiles a grim smile as I sulk. Nancy can be one cold hard woman. I am convinced, she believes given another thirty years of consistent discipline and positive reinforcement, I will reform. She expects me to turnout as well as her sons and the dogs she has raised. There would be a lot more positive reinforcement if she would just give me back my phone. (Note from Nancy – I only steal Steve’s phone when we are out for dinner and instead of talking to his wife or gazing lovingly in to her eyes, he has his head buried in his phone.) {Too Much Information or reality destroys the comedic flow} For those of you who still hold the values of our founding fathers, I commend you. I can no longer take ball point, sharpie, fountain pen, or quill to paper and leave a legible mark. In all honesty I never could, so I can’t hang this on social media.
