A Life Changing Visit

A Modern Parable
I was waiting for a flight home. The plane was not at our gate, but one has to believe the departure board. The little puddle jumpers that come in from the various Mudvilles do turn around quickly. Often the gate wait is longer than the flight getting from the hub to home. The man sitting beside me said he was flying home although he hadn’t lived there for several years. I said I lived in a small town near our airport. He said, “I met the most amazing man last Sunday after church; please, can I tell you about him?” I said yes, he seemed in such need to talk about it. I find people’s stories amusing, to a point.
