Humanity on Earth as in Heaven

July 4, 2017

I understand being a person of Faith and Being a person involved in politics and the affairs of government. Faith should be a guide, but partisanship has warped Faith and our politics. I sketched a few guidelines that might be useful. Love, knowledge, sincerity should define a person of Faith in political and policy affairs.

The Earth is the greatest gift of creation thou shall do all to live in harmony with it.

If you honor God, honor the creator God’s creation.
The number one political activity is to mitigate our effects on climate and all life.

All humans are equal in their right: to exist, have justice and dignity, choose belief, and to stand before the law.

Honor each soul; treat each corporeal vessel with equal love, care, and opportunity.
In political affairs all access and service to the governed must be without discrimination on the basis of attributes of body, belief, or status.

Life cannot exist without burden, cost, or loss. Minimize negative impacts live in abundant joy.

Seek the eternal; seek beyond yourself. Value truth; affix to permanent gifts.
In the process of societal organization cost must be shared; no one escapes responsibility without increasing the burden to the whole.

Seek truth seek God’s will – when learning ceases so does life.

A skeptical search for truth through education and experience is superior to belief.
Faith is required to seek; faith is superior to belief. Faith does not fear the truth; faith demands it.

Assured of a perfect heaven what of me is fit for a perfect heaven?

All of us are limited in perception and cognition. Do not revel in ignorance, accord each other grace, as one would have it accorded to oneself.
I must respect the inalienable rights of others; I will demand them for myself.
